Grand Canyon Sunset Tour

Take an exclusive private tour to one of the seven natural wonders of the world! Travel in luxury to the magnificent Grand Canyon with an expert guide. We’ll meet you at your lodging. From there you will experience the unique riparian habitat of Oak Creek Canyon along with Ponderosa pine forest and lush meadows before arriving at the Grand Canyon.

The adventure begins with the drive up Oak Creek Canyon, recognized as one of the Top Scenic Drives in America by Rand McNally. After experiencing the unique riparian habitat of Oak Creek Canyon, and reaching the top of Mogollon Rim, there will be views of picturesque Ponderosa pine forests, meadows and the San Francisco Volcanic Field before arriving at the Grand Canyon.

You’ll enjoy your first breathtaking view of the Canyon before lunch in the rustic elegance of the historic El Tovar Lodge,* perched on the South Rim.  The afternoon brings vistas along the Canyon’s rim, where there is an option to walk along the Rim Trail while experiencing spectacular views. Our experienced guides will share the geology of this wonder-of-the-world and its history of many peoples. On your return journey you’ll view the Little Colorado River gorge and the magnificent Painted Desert. Time permitting and at your discretion, we will visit the historic Cameron Trading Post before returning to Sedona.

The scenic drive is approximately 2.5 hours from Sedona to the Grand Canyon. Once at the canyon your guide will show you the best lookouts and views along the rim. Lunch is as long as you desire, and there are opportunities for browsing the Hopi House (gallery/gift shop), strolling along the rim and more sightseeing.

The itinerary is tailor-made but we suggest an 7:30 am pickup at your hotel or any location you chose in the Sedona/Village of Oak Creek area.

If you have an 7:30 am pick-up we will have you back to Sedona by 5:00 pm but you can request to be dropped off at any time or even have an extended tour at extra cost.

As the temperature is usually approximately 10 degrees cooler in the Grand Canyon compared to Sedona, dressing in layers is recommended. Hats, sunscreen, sunglasses, a camera, good walking or hiking shoes/boots. A backpack or small bag for personal items.

Bottled water, snack bars, entrance fees and lunch at El Tovar Lodge.

Gratuity and alcoholic beverages.

Please note:

*There is a two-guest minimum to book a tour.
